PRIVACY (LEGISLATIVE DECREE N.196/2003 "THE RIGHTS OF CONCERNED PARTIES", )

 

1. Introduction

December 31, 1996 law n. 675, containing provisions for the protection of persons and other subjects regarding the processing of personal data, was repealed by Legislative Decree June 30, 2003 n. 196, which introduced the new personal data protection code. The Decree 196/2003 lays down, inter alia, that the person concerned should be informed in advance regarding the use of data concerning him. 2. Source of personal data

The personal data under possession, are treated in accordance with the law and the obligations of confidentiality. 4. Data processing method

In relation to the purposes described in the previous paragraph, the personal data will be processed using manual, computerised and electronic logic strictly related to the purposes set out above and, in any case, to ensure the security and confidentiality of data (especially in case of use of means of distance communication).

5. Categories of data processed

In relation to the purposes described in paragraph 3, the holder's personal data other than "sensitive" and "judicial". 7. Data binding

8. Your rights

b) information about the origin of personal data, the purposes and methods of processing and the logic applied in case of processing by electronic means;
c) indication of the identity of the owner and of the person responsible, as well as the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware;
d) the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed unlawfully, as well as the updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data.

The interested party may also oppose, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data, pertinent for collection purposes. May also object to the processing ofpersonal data for purposes of sending advertising materials or direct selling or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.
